Every member of staff in this home seems to understand my relatives particular needs and know how to positively get the best of him, encourage him and appreciate him

The staff are amazing, they know what needs to be done and they get on with it.

Trupti Khristi

I was appointed as Manager in February 2017 and I am glad to be part of a well established, family run Home. In 2011 I completed my NVQ 4 in Health and Social Care, having worked in the industry for over 15 years. I have worked in both residential and nursing homes, specialising in various areas including dementia care.
I believe in person centred care and I’m passionate about making a difference, providing care and support that puts people first. It has always been my aim to deliver the highest standard of care and to ensure a high quality of life filled with dignity and respect

I’ve worked at Beulah Lodge since August 2012 and feel proud to be part of the Home and what it represents. Our residents are always treated with kindness and their individuality is respected and embraced. I love getting to know the residents and finding out what makes them smile so we can make their lives meaningful and happy.

Our staff complete a thorough in-house induction programme carried out by senior members of the team. We are committed to training and developing new and existing staff. Many members of staff have worked with us for several years and hold NVQ qualifications in care. We offer a diverse range of training and ensure on listening to feedback and suggestions from our team.

All staff are trained in the following areas, in line with CQC and Skills for Care recommendations:

  • Health and safety
  • First aid
  • People moving and handling
  • Fire safety awareness
  • Infection control
  • Food safety and hygiene
  • Safeguarding of vulnerable adults and children
  • Mental Capacity Act and DOLS

Many members of staff also undertake additional training such as dementia awareness, mental health awareness, diabetes, diversity and equality, palliative care, nutrition awareness and challenging behaviour.

All care assistants who undertake medication duties are thoroughly trained and their competency assessed prior to commencing administration duties.
